Buying guide
Lagos Life Cars
The list price is not what you pay. The dealer charges 4× list on anything ₦20m and up, 10× from ₦100m — and if your net worth passes ₦1bn, a 'Big Man' surcharge multiplies it again. Here is what all 26 vehicles actually cost.

The Price You See Is Not the Price You Pay
The dealer marks up big cars. Under ₦20m list you pay list price. From ₦20m the dealer charges 4×; from ₦100m, 10×. A ₦45m G-Wagon costs ₦180m at the dealership.
Then the Big Man surcharge. If your net worth is ₦1bn+, prices multiply ×10; at ₦100bn, ×50; at ₦1tn, ×100 — the game shows it as “Price (Big Man ×N)”. Being rich in Lagos Life is its own tax.
Trade-in is 60% of list. Selling back returns 60% of the list price, not of what you paid. On marked-up cars that is a brutal haircut.
Fuel is per km, not per trip. Each car burns 0.5 × its perKm rating per kilometre — from ₦1.5/km on the Bajaj Boxer to ₦15/km on La Voiture Noire. Your garage holds 10 vehicles max.

Is a Car Worth It? The Transport Math
Every trip you don't own costs a fare and minutes. This is what Lagos Life charges per kilometre without a car:
| Mode | Fare | Min / km | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Walking | ₦0 | 12 | Free, and painfully slow |
| Keke | ₦100 + ₦5/km | 3.4 | |
| Danfo | ₦100 + ₦5/km | 3 | |
| Okada | ₦150 + ₦8/km | 2 | Traffic hurts it least (0.35x) |
| Cab | ₦300 + ₦15/km | 2.3 | |
| Own car | fuel only | 2.1 | Fuel per km depends on the car |
An okada beats traffic (it only feels 0.35× of gridlock) but you pay ₦150 + ₦8/km on every trip, forever. A Corolla does the same kilometre for ₦3 of fuel.
Questions
Cars FAQ
How much is the Nepo Baby Prado worth in Lagos Life?
The Toyota Prado Nepo Babies start with lists at ₦15,000,000 — under the ₦20m dealer-markup line, so buying one yourself costs the same ₦15,000,000. If you ever trade it in, you get 60% of list: ₦9,000,000.
How much can you sell a car back for in Lagos Life?
Trade-in pays 60% of the list price — not of what you paid. That matters on the big cars: a G-Wagon lists at ₦45,000,000 but costs ₦180,000,000 at the dealer, and it still trades in for just ₦27,000,000.
Why buy a car in Lagos Life?
Time. Your own car moves at 2.1 min/km versus 3.0 in a danfo, 3.4 in a keke and 12 walking — and you stop paying fares on every trip (a cab is ₦300 + ₦15/km). An okada is faster in gridlock (2.0 min/km, traffic only hurts it 0.35×) but charges ₦150 + ₦8/km forever. A car is the one purchase that converts money into hours every single day.
What is the most expensive car in Lagos Life?
The Bugatti La Voiture Noire — "The Black Car" — lists at ₦12,000,000,000, but at the 10× dealer tier it actually costs ₦120,000,000,000, before any Big Man surcharge. It burns ₦15/km in fuel.
